Thank you for the video. I have been writing for a very long time.Mostly about lost loves, but found a few other topics along the way.The main goal of my writing was not to make money or become famous, but to make sense of why i'm alone again and (possibly) gain or re-gain that persons affection. And the joy of playing guitar, bass and drums always makes me feel better.I'm as of now engaged to a very nice woman and have stopped recording altogether. It's a shame the 100 plus songs now sit unlistened to and unperformed, but writing/recording music did get me through some rough times. Thanks Cathy and take care.

Cathy Lemmon,
When I see your name on my e-mail..you're the 1st I take notice..you're
true to the art of music! likewise it's
that core-value feeling that comes from one's soul..from emotions we feel..be it
of happiness,love's loss,surviving,sorrow,
n' that empathy being in someone else's shoes..people are hurting..losing jobs, losing homes, losing life to cancer, etc. though this may or may not
make a commercial song..but it is that reality we live..that is the spirit-song.

This video was interesting... Music, lyrics, songs; they're all about passion... Sharing thoughts and feelings through sound... Every song is about something, whether it strikes a nerve in the listener can only be known watching them listen to it... With a few exceptions, listening to a lot of what comes out of Nashville on radio and in the mainstream media right now can be a bit disenchanting for a true writer... There are some basic do's and dont's in writing for creating better songs, but the greatest and most memorable songs up to right now at one time happened right inside someone's heart first and poured out of their mind to become legends of music... I think writers should always write what they feel, and just continue to work on their technique and delivery... If they have a hit in them, it'll come out sooner or later...
